On Thursday, June 2 the four active members of the Duke of Edinburgh Program went to Tatamagouche for an BBQ and Reception at the Tim Horton's Children Camp for the his Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex - Prince Edward. We were not allow to have cameras at the reception but do have pictures of the rest of the trip. We arrive in Talamagouche Thursday evening around 9:15. After breakfast on Friday Morning we did a short hike along the Trans Canada Trail which past below the campgrounds and into town. After this we went to the reception and in the late afernoon we played in the sand around Tatamagouche Bay. In the evening we did more hiking on the trail. The walking was a lot better then we're use to having on our hikes, it was a smooth path all the way. We had a heck of a time trying to find somewheres to get supper, We went to get pizza but the power went out and they had closed, we went to the grocery store but they had closed 15 minutes ago and there were no fast food places around left open. Finally we found a convieniance store where we bought some sandwiches and snacks for an improvised supper. In the morning after doughnuts at Robins we finished our hike, which was uneventful except for a dangerous drop off area of the trail which had been damaged(3rd page of pictures) at the Sutherland Steam Mill and headed back to Sydney
