Early Friday Morning on April 14th the Venturers awoke and by some means all met at Narrow's Bridge in Loch Lomand. By 10:00 we had gotten our canoes in the water and away we went up Upper Loch Lomond Lake. It was mostly cloudy during the day and we canoed down the big lake and had a lunch break at the west end. We entered McKinnon March Lake and at one point we were travelling up a small shallow brook (McKinnon Brook) but could only get a little ways because we ran into a small natural dam. We travel through another channel to Cemetery Lake and when we got to the end of this one we stopped to do some fishing. After this we headed across Morrison Lake and up another channel towards Uish Lake. This ended up badly though when Josh and John's Canoe got stuck. What ended up happening was Josh tried to get out of the Canoe but fell and the boat tipped. Josh, John, and Grants Gear also, were soaked. After dealing with this event we headed back the way we came, we might of took a break but then it started raining and once that happened we didn't stop. We got back to camp and quickly set up our tents and shelters in the rain. Josh slept in his tent while Grant, Jullian, John , Jay ,Chris and Jolly crashed in the big Hilary tent. Some of us had supper, and we relaxed the rest of the evening. We woke up in the morning at mixed times and slowly got had breakfast and packed up camp. We did some fishing by the bridge until about 12:45 and then left the cold and wet to go back to our warm homes in Sydney. We didn't have any luck with the fishing but hopefully next time out we will do better
