On August 28, 2004 around 9:00 am we started a overnight hike at Morely Road that eventually led us to Loch Lomond.  We travelled roughly 27 km in total. This was a challenging hike because there were patches of marshy ground and at one point we had to go through a swamp, getting quite wet in the process.  There was also hardly any shade so it was blazing hot, though we found a fresh water stream at one point which was the equivelant of an oasis in the desrt.  One of the adults with us suffered heat exhaustion and had to rest from the time we set up camp that night untill the next morning. Water was also a scarcity after a while and it barely lasted the hike.  However we pulled through and it was an accomplishement for us, we probably won't take that path ever again though.
