PLANS FOR EAST BAY OVERNIGHT HIKE MARCH 2006
We will be meeting at the end of Glenn Morrison Road. This road is not passible this time of year so we have to made a detour. Drive 3.6 kilometers up Morley Road and turn onto Meadows Road Extension. Proceed another 3.2 kilometers till the intersection and turn left. About .5 kilometer down the road is a sharp turn pass a brook with a trail on the left hand side. This would be the starting point. The roads in are dirt roads with a lot of potholes , so the driving is slow and at the last part there is some deep ruts on the right hand side of the road. Start time will be 9:00 Saturday Morning (March 18) and we be out at the small parking lot about 1/2 Kilometer (on the right going out) just before Ben Eoin Ski Hill at noon on Sunday. This is the same parking lot we started at when we did the hike in the fall. Make sure you have good boots because there could be some wet and muddy areas. Hike is weather permitting and if it doesn't look good we'll let everyone know Thursday evening or Friday.
